I have always been available to speak to clients out of hours. This is a crucial factor to providing any client with a good dependable service.
Having a solicitor that is available out of hours, on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday is important to clients.
I often speak to clients late into the evening on the phone / facetime or via Skype. I am fully aware it is often during the normal out of office hours that clients will require assistance, and may worry about their matter and need some advice or reassurance. Or something urgent will occur that needs an almost immediate out of hours chat.

Traditionally, lawyers are not the best at speaking to clients outside of normal office hours. We are now in an era where communication is easy on many levels, gone are the days where the solicitor client relationship is managed by letters back and forth.
A solicitor that is not available out of normal office hours is not providing you with an all-encompassing service. Part of my role is to take away stress and worry from clients. All of my clients have my out of office contact details and I am only a text message away if they need to discuss any aspect of their matter or require general legal advice.
When you choose your solicitor, find out if they work outside of office hours and if they will charge you a premium on your legal fees for doing so (we charge no extra for speaking to a client outside of office hours).
